A.S. Face 2206: Shae (Sherre) Harris

A.S. Face 2206: Shae (Sherre) Harris

My name is Shae (Sherre) Harris
I started having symptoms (pain and sciatica) when I turned 18 (me and my twin sister started at the same time with this). I was diagnosed when I was 26 and finally found my rheumatologist at the age of 31, when I was put on Humira after I failed methotrexate. Humira was amazing and kept me mostly pain free for 5 years or so, until it didn’t. Since then it’s just been a journey with pain. About 3 years ago now Psoriatic Arthritis was added to the list of diagnoses and opened the door to a few more options which my doctor and I are exploring now.

Through it all I have found that a positive attitude and a mindset of “one day at a time” will get you a lot further than you might think.
