My name is Tania Katsani, I am 35 years old, suffering from AS since my early 20s, diagnosed at 30. I try to stay positive even in the worst days. Being able to smile and helping others, plus searching and looking for every new development in our chronic disease is the key for me for a fulfilling life. Sometimes I feel desperate when I realize that my life seems to be a perpetual trip from a doctor to another, from a medicine to another. It’s very difficult to realize how unrealistic is a trip or a visit to a museum due to reduced mobility. But I have also been blessed with meeting with wonderful people that help me and care about me unconditionally.  I m learning my limits, I am learning how to fight-  I keep fighting every day! That’s a thing, isn’t it?

Ny name is Nicole ..iam 24 years old ..Iam form Greece,and i have AS!!!! The story begins like that…I was pregnant when the pain start… i feel dirrable …day after day .the pain was bigger and bigger!! I was pain in my arms ,in my knee, in my lower back pain … In 24 December 2010 i was gave birth to my litle boy Stefan …and then my C-rpe was 100times up to natural level..!!!!! I did the B27 blood work ..and of course was possitive..and then my doctors gave to me medicines..and medicines…and medicines..but my pain was there.. From 24/12/10 until 3/3/12 any medicines help to me….I change 3 doctors.. and then one of these ,gave to me the correct treatment,one hypo in month all is ok.My hypo names is Simponi!!In the beginig i was taking and Methotrexaty but no i stopped it. I am very happy that i can wake up in the morning  without to thinking ”Wow how i stand up from my bed” ….All thinks going well..I doing hugs in my baby and iam feeling that i missed his age until now…Its terrible ,but i think possitive… All the people that  have AS dont thinking bad..the psychology is very importand, Think possitive always…

Hello to everyone!!

My name is Katerina-Maria i’m born in Australia. I have AS 3 years.

Well.. i had very bad pain back to the point that i could get dressed.

So a friend of mine introduce to me an orthopedic specialist in spine (i got on X-rays on the points of pain) we found inflammation on the knee(it needed 3 days more to paralyze from the inflammation)

The orthopedic sent immediately to the rhematologist… i got on treatment!

Feeling much better now , a big THANK’S TO ALL MY DOCTORS !!!

My name is Yiannis Siouras. I have Ankylosing Spondylitis. I am 36 years old and live in Greece, my whole life. At age 22, I was diagnosed with AS.
I have used Remicade and Humira. Currently, I am using Enbrel, with not a lot of relief. It is still difficult to move and I have depression.
These last years have been most painful throughout my spine.
