A.S. Face 1486: Michele Milam
Hi my name is Michele Milam. I am from Washington Township Michigan. I have AS. I had my 1st back surgery in 2006. In 2012 I had a double fusion. I finally told my husband about the AS in 2014 after coming close to losing my marriage. I struggle to think of why my husband would be interested in being with someone like me. My fear was the only thing causing this issue. We are working hard to get through this together.
I have chosen to use Aprils awareness month to tell the rest of the world. I have been uncomfortable talking about this. I am on biologics and pain meds.
