A.S. Face 1456: Alex Medve
This is actually my 18 year old daughter Alex Medve, she was diagnosed 1 week ago, but she has had the pain and symptoms for 4 years now. After all of the testing and MRI 4 years ago, they just treated it with physical therapy and naproxen. That seemed to work for awhile, however, she has had many, many flare ups. We finally just attributed it to “weather” and she has dealt with it, many times crying, because her hips hurt so badly and she couldn’t get out of bed. Finally, she had an issue with her eye, over the holidays, which was finally diagnosed as uveitis. My husband and I knew that she needed to be seen again and that it was not just the weather at this point, regardless of what the doctors were telling us. Her doctor finally seemed to take notice with the Opthamologist’s diagnosis and ordered more tests. So here we are 4 years later with a diagnosis finally!
