A.S. Face 1417: Dee Dee Hubbs

A.S. Face 1417: Dee Dee Hubbs

Face 1417
My name is DeeDee Hubbs and I was diagnosed at 22. I am now 47. I had a tough go of it in my younger years but was fortunate to have it go into remission for about 10 years. I read the stories and comments of others and feel fortunate that it has not been as rough for me (yet) as it has been on so many other people. I am having more flares now as time goes on so not exactly sure what my future holds. As of now I am only on pain meds but am scheduled to see a new Rheumy soon. I have also recently been to an orthopedic surgeon where I was found to have bone spurs and a torn rotator cuff, at least that’s what he thinks. He said something is definitely off and keeping my joint from fully engaging. I will be scheduling my MRI soon. I am also a regular at pain management.
Thank you so much for this AS page. I get so much info and comfort in knowing y’all “get it” when nobody else does. I truly appreciate it!
