A.S. Face 1068: Pia
I’m Pia…almost a 41 year old female diagnosed with AS about 7 yrs ago after many many years of unexplained pain and fatigue. One day my brilliant internist thought to look for HLA-B27 and finally the pieces of the puzzle began to come together. I have had a rough road in terms of my tolerance to medication and my rheumatologist is still struggling to find the best treatment for me. I’m confident that something will work eventually and I anticipate that day. Living with AS is tough, but I sure count my blessing each and every day. I may live with pain…but I thank God I can walk, talk and am otherwise healthy:))
