A.S. Face 0985: Gillian
My name is Gillian, I’m 43, married with two fantastic children and from Yorkshire. I was diagnosed with AS last year but have been suffering from symptoms since I was 18 and have had numerous operations that weren’t necessary such as carpal tunnel and knee ops before I finally had the biggest flare up and the Drs found that I was HLA B27 +. I have now got a really good Rheumatology clinic in Doncaster and I’m now on Enbrel after not being able to tolerate sulphasalzine or methotrexate.
I’m now back at work full time and although I hurt every day I can get on with life and enjoy it. Thank you for listening.
