A.S. Face 1805: Julie Randall
My name is Julie Randall. I was finely diagnosed with AS in 2012 after many tests. I would gain weight and then lose weight.At one point I weighed just over 100 lbs. When I brought it up to the doctor he tested me for every thing imaginable, all which came back normal. After having an MRI I was tested for the AS gene. It was around 7 pm when he called me to tell me that I have AS. I am a mother to a teenager and a toddler. I have many bad days with the pain but my toddler keeps me on my toes. So far my pain has been managed by meds and SI injections. I am now 38 and AS has affected many of my joints along with my back where I was told has already started eroding. I am trying to learn all the time about AS.
